Hosted a Curator presentation and facilitated an artist panel centered around continuing the conversation around the themes in the accompanying exhibition, You Deserve Your Flowers.

Recipient of the NCECA 2025 Helene Zucker Seeman Curatorial, Research, and Critical Writing Fellowship for Women, 2025

This Fellowship will allow me to create educational programming associated with the exhibition, giving us funding towards paying our artists for workshops or an artist panel.

“You Deserve Your Flowers” is an exhibition featuring female, and nonbinary artists of color who’s work explore themes of identity, fantasy and healing. Collaborating with Women’s Studio Workshop to grant emerging artists of color more opportunity to be recognized, opening in May 2025.

For this panel, a group of presenters and I organized a panel to discuss diversity, accessibility, and opportunity for emerging artists of color. An article was created to further explain our narrative was published through NCECA.

Volunteering, Women’s Studio Workshop, 2018-2021

Rosendale, NY

While volunteering I specifically had acquired the skills to help with kiln maintenance and other studio responsibilities toward the annual Chili Bowl Fiesta Fundraiser. I helped mixed necessary glazes to get through the season, created production work, glazed unfinished work, work with silk screen transfers on work, and collected the total number of bowls for the chili bowl event.  Recently, I participated in helping during the event by serving food and helping people to navigate through the fundraiser. I have volunteered over 200 hours and continue to do so.

Ceramic + Silk Screen Private Lessons, Women’s Studio Workshop, 2018

I taught private lessons to a student at WSW who was interested in combining silk screening techniques with ceramics. I went through the steps on how to coat a screen with photo emulsion, how to prepare the images onto transparent paper, how to expose the images with UV light and how to creates ceramic silk screen ink.

Commission Work for a Local Artist, 2018

Accord, NY

A local artist, Thomas Albrecht had commissioned a set of non-fired pseudo rocks made from clay for a performance piece he was conducting. By using dry materials and textures I had created 30 pseudo rocks.
